For those users that connect to the Bookmakers Online application for the APN price feed, please edit the field file for Betfair Park Sandown and REMOVE Betfair Park from the name at the top of the file. The name is contained in two places on the first line. The APN feed will come through as Sandown Lakeside for tomorrows meeting.

All future meetings will need to be edited in a similar way. In the same away as presently applies for Allan Scott Park Morphettville.

The latest drivers available from Epson allow for the use of the Epson TM-T88IV Receipt printer using the Microsoft Vista operating system.

To use the drivers you must be using the 32 Bit Vista Operating system and either a direct Parellel Printer connection or USB Printer connection. The drivers will not work on systems using a USB to Parellel Converter.

A cosmetic change has occurred with the fields from the www.harness.org.au website. If any user currently downloads fields from this website a patch is available for both EasyBook 2000 and EasyPrint via the following links. This includes the revised patch for EasyPrint Version 2.7.4.

The New Microsoft Operating System, Vista is causing problems to a few users who have recently purchased new laptops. At this stage Epson Business Systems, the maker of the popular Epson TM-T88IV Receipt Printer, has not released drivers for the Vista Operating System. It is unknown when these drivers are going to be available.

USB Convertors and Electronic Display Button Boards...posted 4 December 2005.
With the use of the Electronic Display board with buttons to change prices via the side of the display came another issue with USB to Serial (RS232) convertors. After much research, it has been found that the BAFO brand of USB convertor is the only convertor to date to work correctly with these boards. The issue that was occuring was that pricing were able to be send to the board, however communication from the board to the computer was being distorted and therefore unreadable by EasyBook 2000. As such, any users with Electronic button boards who need to purchase a USB to Serial (RS232) convertor must only purchase the BAFO brand. If users wish to purchase this brand, please contact Point and Click on 0408 560 816. The cost is around $75.00.

USB to RS232 Converters...posted 19 Feb 2005.
A known problem occurs with the Dolphin brand USB to Serial (RS232) Converters when used with Electronic Display Boards. It is recommended that users purchase only ATEN U232A Serial Converter, or Belkin brand USB to Serial converters, with the ATEN brand preferred.
